I usually connect with people through email and then set up a skype date for us to talk.  After the first interview on skype, we decide what the most effective schedule will be, what books would be the most helpful for the participant to read or review, what other CTRTC people might be able to provide insight or experience in the participant's area of interest, and other ways the participant can add to their knowledge and practice of RT/CT.  We plan together what they will attempt to do as far as practice and adding information, and when we will connect again by skype or email. I reserve one weekend per month to hold skype practicum sessions.  However, I will schedule appointments and answer email questions at any time during the practicum.

Most skype sessions are 60-90 minutes, and usually take place once per month.  If I have a face-to-face practicum scheduled, the person is able to attend in person or via skype whenever they can arrange it.  I ask that they practice RT role plays with someone at least one hour before each skype session, and come to the skype session ready to role play with me and discuss their learning since our last meeting. If skype is not working effectively, (which sometimes it doesn't) we can always continue the session on the phone and schedule another skype session at a better time.  If the practicum is to be completed in the minimum six months time period, we will arrange to connect more often than the once per month.  I believe that 12 hours of skype, email, phone and material sharing is beneficial in all distance practica along with the 18 hours of personal focused learning activities.  Most people find that more hours are better than fewer hours of concentrated learning.  My fee is the standard rate of $350 per practicum, regardless of the number of hours we spend connecting within the six months.

I would be honored to have you choose me as your Practicum Supervisor, either Basic or Advanced. After your 21-hour Intensive Training, the next step is to complete thirty hours of individual training; twelve (12) hours of active observation and participation with a Practicum Supervisor and eighteen (18) hours of individual study. I hold practicum sessions every third Saturday from 9AM until Noon CST via Google Hangout. Google Hangout accommodates one-on-one sessions or group and all participants are able to see and interact with each other. I send practicum preparation information prior to each session. My fee is $350 for a minimum of four sessions plus e-mails or calls as needed. A payment schedule can be arranged.
